Cilantro & Parsley
Coriander sativum & Petroselinum crispum
Origin: Southern Europe, Northern Africa
Organic Non-GMO Certified
Total Growth Cycle: 60 days
This mix of cilantro and parsley gives the best of both worlds! The entire plant including the root can be used to provide extra flavor, rather than just the leaves. Enjoy as a microgreen, petite or mature leaf.
Tasting is recommended from approximately 15 days onward, depending on your preference for cilantro or parsley size and flavor. Tasting period is highlighted in green in the Growing Timeline Overview.
Cilantro and Parsley take longer to germinate than other herbs, up to 12 days. The parsley will grow much slower than the cilantro at the beginning, but will catch up quickly. Can be cut for a single regrowth at any point after the microgreens phase.
Nutrient Refill(s): 1
When prompted to refill nutrients, pour measured nutrient packet into the basin, then add tap water gently through the sIO until it reaches the fourth tick mark. Nutrient additions will be prompted around day 35 of the growth cycle.
Expect to top up water at least three times (aside from when adding nutrients) during the growing cycle. When prompted to refill water, pour tap water gently through the sIO until the water level reaches the fourth and highest tick mark on the right side basin window. Water additions will be prompted around days 23, 45, and 52 of the growth cycle.
Cilantro and parsley require darkness for germination, so while your seeds are germinating, only the white and blue LED lights will be on very dimly. Once you remove the dark germination cover, all LED lights (red, white, and blue) will come on brightly. The maximum time lights will be on is 16 hours per day.
*Must be advanced by the user by this time by removing germination cover

In this phase your plant will receive continuous misting to begin dissolving the nutrients in the sIO and jumpstart germination. Be sure to keep the clear humidity cover on during this phase.
When the majority of seeds have germinated, remove the dark humidity cover and update app to transition to the Seedling growth phase. Remember to record in the app that you have removed the humidity cover. If germination occurs and the humidity cover is not removed within 12 days, the plant will die. If germination does not occur within 12 days contact support.
Cotyledons expand and grow, and true leaves are emerging.
If harvesting cilantro or parsley microgreens, remove sIO disk from SproutsIO basin. Using scissors, cut the plants from the disk, cutting as close to the sIO top as possible. Record your harvest in the app. If not harvesting for microgreens, leave the plant as is.
When prompted to refill nutrients, pour measured nutrient packet into the basin, then add tap water gently through the sIO until it reaches the fourth tick mark. If harvesting petite cilantro or parsley, remove sIO disk from SproutsIO basin. Using scissors, cut the plants from the disk, cutting as close to the sIO top as possible. Record your harvest in the app. If not harvesting for cilantro or parsley, leave the plant as is.
Your plants will reach maturity around day 27 and will continue growing until day 60. Feel free to harvest any/all of your plants during this window. You may also need to adjust your lamp head during this phase if your plants grow too close to it, you will receive a notification to do so. When you’re ready to harvest, remove sIO disk from SproutsIO basin. Using scissors, cut the plants from the disk, cutting as close to the sIO top as possible. Record your harvest in the app.
